Alba Team Building 2018 - Summer Hoedown
Alba Ultrasound had our team building event in the glorious sunshine of
Scotland. This year Texas came to Stirlingshire in more ways than one as we were
joined by our colleagues from R2Sonic in Austin for a Texas Hoedown.
We competed in eight team events ranging from horseshoe pitching and rodeo-riding to
archery and clay pigeon shooting. This culminated in a hog-roast followed by a live
band with line-dancing and cocktails.
It was agreed by everyone that this was another excellent and worthwhile occasion,
with competitive team-building at its core. With this event now a firm fixture in
the Alba calendar, we are already looking forward to next year's instalment.
Check out photos of the Hoedown here.

multi-view sonar arrays for both T-SAS (Towed Synthetic Aperture Sonar) and AUVs

John Swinney visits Alba Ultrasound
On 4th of April 2013, Alba Ultrasound was visited by John Swinney, Cabinet
Secretary for Finance, Employment and Sustainable Growth. During his visit, he said
the following:
"I was delighted to have the opportunity to visit Alba
Ultrasound and to see first-hand the dynamic, innovative approach to business that
they have adopted. Alba Ultrasound is a great example of the drive and ambition that
we want to see demonstrated by companies of all sizes throughout
Scotland.
The Scottish Government is clear that innovation must be
recognised and encouraged across the entire business base, and I am pleased that
support from Scottish Enterprise, as well as the company's links to academia through
the Engineering for the Future programme, has enabled the company to grow from
strength to strength. It is entirely fitting that this success was marked last year
when the company were awarded the 2012 Queen's Award for Enterprise in recognition
of their innovative approach to business."
